Adapted from episode “Hot-pink flying squirrel” from the podcast “Unexplainable”, Forest Rave is a book that explores the recently discovered world of bioluminescence mammals and its contribution to medical sciences, including winning a Nobel Prize in Chemistry.

Reflecting the different tones within the podcast episode, I wanted to showcase an inquisitive side, an electrifying side, and an informative side to the subject.

I also used NFC tags to connect the physical book to a mobile microsite to unveil the differences in viewing the animals under natural light vs. UV light.

Also, I had my first attempt in screenprinting! Tried to screen print the whole entire 3rd section, did not go well so I would not recommend. But at least I have the inner cover of the book glows in the dark!!
